In 2010, Lady Gaga’s The Fame Monster sold more copies – 5.8 million – than any other album in the world, according to German website MediaTraffic.de’s United World Chart. The chart takes into account the weekly charts from January 16, 2010 through January 8, 2011, so there is still a week left for additional sales to alter final figures.

23rd Underpass is a band that we first got to know in 2008.. The basic concept was to share their music perspective in the Italo disco comeback that was happening in all European capitals. Even they didn’t get to experience the original 80s aura (as they are all so young) they manage to release two songs that carry all the mellow feeling and sound of that beloved decade. The songs were released to the market in 2009 by Iventi records in 12” inch vinyl maxi singles and they were called Sometimes and You’ll Never Know. Recently, I got a press release regarding their upcoming (second) live performance at Mad Club, Gazi, Athens, Greece and I tried to follow up with the group, see where they stand now.. Susan Boyle got an early Christmas present yesterday, when her album The Gift shot to the top of the charts.
Her second No 1 album confirms the Britain’s Got Talent star as one of music’s most lucrative brands.
The Gift sold 102,993 copies in its first week, almost double the total of nearest contender Bon Jovi’s Greatest Hits collection.

These days, Alicia Keys is in a motherhood state of mind. The singer and her husband, Swizz “Kaseem Dean” Beatz, “joyfully welcomed their first child,” son Egypt Daoud Dean, on Oct. 14 in New York City. This is the couple’s first child, though Egypt “is welcomed by Beatz’s three other children,” the statement adds. Keys, 29, and Beatz, 32, are not only new parents together – they are also newlyweds. The singer and the rapper-producer were married in a private ceremony overlooking the Mediterranean Sea in July. At the time, the two didn’t know the gender of their child, but Swizz Beatz said they were excited to start a family together.

Jonas Brothers might be getting “Camp Rock 3” on their sleeves, if Zack Taylor can be trusted. According to the celebrity blogger, Disney executives have reached out to some of those on board the “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam” after the TV movie sequel opened to a major success upon its TV premiere.
